For the assembly of custombikes, the developement of 3-piece
wheels has been nothing less than a revolution: Fragile
in design, robust in operation „on the road“,
they offer an affordable way to change the tire size. The
popular forged aluminium wheels of Rick's are state-of-the-art:

The base of all components are forged aluminium
plates which are then CNC-machined into shape.
The raw rims are formed and cold temperatures rolled under high
pressure, which sometimes is
refered to as „forged“. The hereby achieved materialcompression
offers several advantages.
Smooth flow of material, no pores or air-holes – as possible
during other manufacturing processes
(casting f. e.) – and
a high surface quality after polishing.
With the superb strenght of the material, Rick's
is able to realise extreme design wheels of 15'' to 21''
diameter
up to a rim width of 12,5''. All rims are available in raw, polished
of powder coated finish.
